The Bimmer has a massive coolant leak from somewhere under the intake manifold. The 'yota has one very blown differential input bearing. (What was that squeallin... fuck.) So what am I doing working on these damn non-fun things? Spending 12 hours underneath a Honda is not much fun. That's it. If it doesn't crawl over rocks or go really fast, I'm not working on it anymore. And no more w-bodys.

: Abscession
Haha, what a clever pun. Today I had this horrible abscess thing on my arm drained at a walk in clinic. The doctor was half asleep, mean and dumped pus filled water all over me by accident. Awesome! As he was cutting a hole in my arm with scissors, I cringed at the sound of my flesh being snipped, and he said, and I quote "Remember that song, big girls don't cry?". Yeah, remember that little ditty that goes.. I rip your fucking balls off and force feed them to you? Good one, that. Notice how it already had a hole in it? That might be because I doused it in alcohol a day earlier and jammed a needle into it myself. I cringed than too, and it produced no results. Anyway, High on pain meds now, gangrene free, and my anger is subsiding. Current Mood:

I don't see the payment in my paypal account.. Perhaps you are mistaken? I really hope that you are not trying to scam me - I've heard about that sort of thing. Please make at least half the payment now, perhaps the other half later, and I will gladly ship out the requested item. ~Jeremy

: Truck
So I bought this 1991 Toyota Hilux a few months ago. Regular cab, 3zvfe V6, 30" + Radial Rover's and American racing wheels, a little lift, offroad bushings. It's a little rusty, but I paid 900 for it. It's IFS, unfortunately, but I might consider a swap if the parts are cheap enough, as the rear end is leaking anyway. Electric (factory!) landcruiser locker bolts in - might consider that. When I bought it, half the lights weren't working, it was running full rich, and it sounded like the exhaust had broken in half. (it also smelled like burning dog pee when you got up around 65) So far I've put the following into this beast : 1. JVC Stereo (from a roadmaster from Washington D.C) (free) 2. Storage pocket mounted Radio Shack CB and replacement 12v outlet (looks factory!) (free in trade) 3. Generic 4 wire Bosch Oxygen Sensor (fixed the rich condition, the noise, and the burning smell (melting carpet) as the original had broken off and was swinging freely, dumping exhaust gas right under the seat. (60 bucks) 4. Rear Shocks intended for a one ton Dually Hilux (16 each) 5. One new rear brake line (had no rear brakes!) 5 bucks 6. Changed oil and differential fluid (30 bucks) 7. Fabricated Bumper from steel plates and a 1968 buick driveshaft (15 bucks for metal) 8. Foglights from my old Honda (upgraded from 55 watts each to 100 watts each) (free) (bumper mounted) 9. New Headlights (10 bucks each) Here's a picture of my truck, before I fabbed the bumper.. (and before snow) All in all, this thing has been awesome. In Four wheel low, it's well night unstoppable, and with the short wheelbase, will go anywhere a Jeep will, leaving full-sizes in the dust. And the hilux will tow 6800 pounds STOCK. How many mini-trucks had a dually option?

The temperatures are coming up again! It's almost time to take wenig out and about.. I have to head up to The Euro Depot and get new stub axles, another tail light, and about a dozen other things. I also need a new differential cover, since the one on the big limited slip I bought over the winter is missing a fin. A full bearing-and seal rebuild will be in order as well. I also need some new tires.. Which I think I'll buy at the same time I buy a good anti-roll bar kit.

: Vista RC1 Foibles
Updating now via IE7 in Vista RC1 build 5600... 'They' were NOT joking about lack of hardware compatibility.. *NOTHING* works in this evil operating system. After trying 4 different nics, I finally grabbed this 3com soho100tx. Just use the 2k drivers, no .inf editing needed, and voila! Vista. Which rhymes with 'fista,' and 'sista.' That sounds like some sort of comically accented porn star, like, "I'ma fista yo sista, you getta the gista?" 14th September 2006
: Random Updates
Ok, so anyway.. I have not updated in quite a while, so I'll make this short and concise. Cars : The stealership swapped the catalytic converter for free on the gp, so that's taken care of. I replaced the fuel filter, so I shouldn't have to touch that evil thing for a few ![]()

I Woke up at 7:13 this morning. On my mousepad. Covered in drool. Normally I would procede to consume my normal champions breakfast of no-doze and claritin, but all I have is Vault. I hate vault, it tastes like some kind of synthetic liquid sugar. Something they would be drinking on the Nebuchadnezzar. Ugh.

: Observations...
Well, today I finally broke the new suspension in properly. I took the 's for a rip up into the hills from Manchester to Stafford, down my favorite driving road around Crystal Lake. The confidence the springs inspire is *incredible.* It's like a whole new car. I even reeled in a rogue STI.. (after some unintentional drifting in sand)I do need new tires however, and I really need to get the bodywork done, A.S.A.P. Anyway, On the way home on 84 I raced an X-Runner up to about 110, which brings me to my next point. The 318is, and late model e30s as a whole, have *EXTREMELY* overboosted power steering - this car would be terrifying to drive on the track anywhere north of 100 mph. That is all. 27th June 2006
: More on "An inconvenient Electoral Outcome.."
Yet another nail in the coffin of Al Gore's idiotic Anti-American propaganda movie. When will global warming be exposed for what it really is? I firmly believe that radical environmentalism is simply communism reborn - and requires absolute faith, with denial of genuine science. http://www.epw.senate.gov/pressitem.c Excerpt: Gore's circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention." "The man is an embarrassment to US science and its many fine practitioners, a lot of whom know (but feel unable to state publicly) that his propaganda crusade is mostly based on junk science." – Bob Carter as quoted in the Canadian Free Press, June 12, 2006 Richard S. Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT, wrote: “A general characteristic of Mr. Gore's approach is to assiduously ignore the fact that the earth and its climate are dynamic; they are always changing even without any external forcing. To treat all change as something to fear is bad enough; to do so in order to exploit that fear is much worse.” - Lindzen wrote in an op-ed in the June 26, 2006 Wall Street Journal /Excerpt 26th June 200625th June 2006

Well, on a whim, I decided to drive by the house of the guy that I was going to buy the 528e off of a few weeks ago. Yes - the car was still sitting in the driveway. That son of a bitch! As if it weren't bad enough that I showed up with the tow car and trailer and he turned me down, (a hand shake is good enough!) claiming someone else had offered him more. That poor e28 528e will probably sit in that god-forsaken driveway indefinitely, rotting to hell, all because he just couldn't bring himself to sell it. Bastard.

So this morning, dropping bakie off at ***-***, I noticed wenig hesitating a little bit. The hesitation turned into violent shaking. When I got back to the shop, I noticed the drivers side rear wheel was *very* hot to the touch. Upon closer inspection, I also noticed the rotor was *TORCHED*. Note to self - verify proper e-brake adjustment upon reassembly next time. All fixed now - but I don't think my ebrake will be functional until I get new shoes. Heres a picture of how the car looks now, and check out the picture of the pretty rainbow coloring on the torched rotor.

"We see that budgets for policing are being slashed and the federal government has gotten out of that business," said James Alan Fox, a criminal justice professor at Northeastern University in Boston. "Funding for prevention at the federal level and many localities are down and the (National Rifle Association) has renewed strength."

: D-Day
Today, in addition to being 6-6-06, is also the 62'nd anniversary of The D-day landing. We should all take a moment to remember the brave men who fought and died on this day in 1944. It's hard to believe, given our intensely biased modern perspective, that we lost over a thousand men in the training exercises alone. Sadly, this country has entirely lost its will, if not its ability, to successfully conduct warfare. That is all. Current Mood:
